Maksymum Goaltending Summer Camps


Maksymum Goaltending Preseason Camp (MG 2,3,4) Ages 9-17    TSC at  MCC  August 5-9 8:00-3:30

Our top development camp focused on goaltenders looking to make the jump to older or more elite levels of competition.  With one of the most experienced instructor staffs in Western NY Maksymum goaltending will develop a solid foundation of skills and then work with each goaltender to maximize their potential for the upcoming season. The camp will feature 15 hours of ice, classroom instruction, video review and Athletic Republic ™ off ice training. A 1:4 instructor to student ratio will be maintained. Maksymum Goaltending Beginner Camp (MG 1) Ages 6-9                                         August 5-9 8:00-12:00

This half day camp serves as the first introduction to Maksymum Goaltending instruction. This Program features 1.5 hours of ice/day and off ice activities including dry land exercises, class room instruction and video review.

Maksymum Goaltending Elite Camp  (MG 3,4,5) Ages 13 and up           TSC at  MCC  7/29-8/2 8:00-4:00    

Designed for bantam through college aged goaltenders, this is our flagship camp offering 17.5 hours of on ice training, classroom instruction, video review and Athletic Republic ™ off ice training with some of the most experienced instructors in Western NY. Our coaches have either played or coached at the Junior and Collegiate levels over the past few seasons and training will bring that level of intensity to this camp.  This also serves as the goaltending camp for the Rochester Stars EJHL (Jr. A) Team and the Maksymum Jr. B (Empire) Team and utilizes their players as shooters. A 1:3 instructor to student ratio will be maintained.

Beginner (MG level 1)
 
These clinics will be devoted to the basics of goaltending emphasizing stance, movement and the butterfly position for beginner goaltenders who are not yet ready for advanced save selection such as butterfly slides, vertical horizontal post positioning and down pushes. Recommended for ages 9 and younger.
 
 
Intermediate (MG level 2)
 
These clinics are designed for the goaltender that has begun to use the more advanced saves but has not yet mastered them. We will focus on more advanced skills such as hip rotation and weight shifting as well as some situational play. Recommended for ages 9 through 12.
 
 
Elite (MG level 3)
 
These clinics are designed for goaltenders that are already proficient in advanced saves and will focus on situational play. Specifically it will focus on making the second and third saves, preventing rebounds and making the “impossible save”. Goaltenders will be divided by age and ability and the most advanced goaltenders will be assigned the most senior instructors. Jr/Prep/HS (MG level 4)
 
These clinics are designed for goaltenders that are already proficient in advanced saves and have achieved a certain level of success within the sport. These clinics will be run at an intense pace to sharpen the goaltenders skills and prepare them to face the next level of competition. Collegiate Prep (MG level 5)
 
These clinics are designed for goaltenders that are already playing at a Jr hockey or prep school level that are looking to advance into college hockey.
